Do we need supplements?< /h1>
In our experience, YES!
Today's lifestyle is characterized by stress, information density and one-sided physical/mental strain. As a result, we consume significantly more nutrients than we used to.
In addition, food no longer contains the abundance of vitamins, minerals and trace elements that we need for a healthy life ; Not to mention the secondary plant substances (e.g. natural plant pigments as antioxidants, bitter substances, etc.). Fruits, vegetables and grains have been bred into large, pristine products, if not genetically engineered.
Once upon a time, a grapefruit was bitter... now it's rare.
Processed foods and excess of Luxury foods (such as sugar, alcohol, coffee,...) do the rest.
Where Food supplements should pay attention to:
- Natural origin of the active ingredients. You can recognize this when the origin is specified as a FRUIT or plant (eg: vitamin C from acerola - instead of synthetically produced vitamin C = ascorbic acid)
- Active ingredients from the WHOLE plant instead of isolated active ingredients. A WHOLE fruit contains much more than a few vitamins, e.g. secondary plant substances, minerals, trace elements
- Avoid isolated, high-dose, synthetic active ingredients!
You can find those Food supplements that we have been using for years to supplement our diet and our bodies to balance - with natural active ingredients from Ayurveda, TCM and Western herbalism. We can warmly recommend them to you.
