Vega Primer has no reducing effect on the vapor absorption of plasters (sD value < 0.01 m), and is therefore an ideal primer, especially for clay and lime plasters.
Versatile colorless transparent primer for subsequent coats and thin-layer plaster applications with KREIDEZEIT casein paints, lime paints and plasters in interior areas.
Suitable for application on all untreated and absorbent substrates such as clay, lime, lime-cement, gypsum plasters, gypsum plasterboard and gypsum fiberboard, stone, concrete.
Recommended for priming absorbent old coatings before their renovation: e.g. KREIDEZEIT casein paints, clay paints, swamp lime paints and emulsion paints.
Unsuitable for all smooth, non-absorbent surfaces and permanently damp substrates.
For transparent consolidation of plasters, especially clay plasters in interior areas; in this case, the creation of test areas is necessary (see "Tips").

Mixing the primer
A 10 litre bucket and a mixer (drill + whisk) are best suited for mixing the primer.
Add the contents of the Vega Primer bag (250 g) to 2 litres of clean cold water, stirring continuously. Make sure that all lumps are stirred. After a swelling time of approx. 30 minutes, stir vigorously again and dilute with 6 litres of water.
Application
Apply Vega Primer evenly and generously. Only apply as much liquid as is absorbed by the substrate.
It is essential to remove any excess (wet shiny areas) with a cloth before drying.
Working temperature min. 8°C.
The mixed primer must be applied on the same day. Do not continue to apply primer with a bad or foul odour under any circumstances: Danger of long-lasting odour problems even after drying !
Drying time in normal climate
Dried after approx. 8 hours at 20°C and can be recoated with paints or plasters based on lime putty or casein.
Suitable tools
Suitable tools are good facade and ceiling brushes made of natural bristles. Do not spray or apply casein primer with a roller.
Clean tools
immediately after use with water.
