Wood is a unique material and has always been familiar to people as a building material. Its advantages include not only its appearance and surfaces that flatter the senses of touch, but also its structural properties: elasticity and stability. In order to preserve and further emphasise these qualities, natural oil-based coatings are the best choice.
The most important raw material of our wood coatings and proven for centuries is the well-drying linseed oil. Linseed oil is obtained by pressing linseed or flax seed. Due to the very small molecular size of the fatty acids it contains (about 50 times smaller than synthetic resins), it penetrates deeply into even the smallest wood pores. It remains elastic and optimally diffusible throughout its entire life. Cracks in coatings and waterlogging in the wood are thus reliably prevented. We use linseed oil, pine resins, stand oils, Portuguese balsamic turpentine oil and mineral pigments to manufacture a wide variety of wood treatment products.
Building-physically sensible formulations made from pollutant-free and renewable raw materials result in maximum application and usage safety. Moreover, they do not leave any hazardous waste behind when they are disposed of later. Thus, the natural Kreidezeit products for wood treatment surpass the widely used quick-drying acrylic and alkyd resin paints in many respects. Our oil products are free of lead, barium and cobalt.
All products are subject to strict internal quality assurance and all raw materials are selected with the utmost care. A complete declaration of all ingredients is a matter of course.
